Sunday, August 1 the Shaolin Temple and the surrounding historic sites (secondary forest of pagodas and temples) were officially included in the UNESCO list of 'World Heritage'. This is an important international cultural recognition, the result of years of work by Abbot Shi Yong Xin and Chinese authorities. The disciplines Shaolin (Chan - Zen Wugong - Kung Fu Wu Shu, Yi - traditional medicine) will also be added to the UNESCO list of 'World Heritage cultural traditions'.
